Concept – this event has been the culmination of an idea that has been percolating for the past number of years with Cheryl Bromley as she continues to travel and meet players from all over. It has been her dream to host a major women’s tournament in the U.S. to showcase up-and-coming women players and top-notch talent from around the world and to foster camaraderie between these players and women of all skill levels in the USA. After being delayed in 2020 due to the pandemic, we are excited to bring the U.S. portion of this event to fruition this year.
Location – The Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club is located in beautiful Hartfield, VA. The Club is an hour’s drive southeast of the Richmond international airport and is close to many historic places such as Jamestown and Williamsburg. The CBCC was established in 2016 with eight, laser-leveled championship courts. There is a dining facility that will seat over 120 people and a courtside clubhouse with locker rooms and lounge with numerous local options for accommodations in the area. Chesapeake Bay’s signature touch is its local seafood, home-cooked breakfast, and courtside lunches.
Spectators are welcome and encouraged! Free Admission for spectators.
There are many ways to participate! Register for a training clinic, play in the doubles social mixer, dine with players, or, play in the tournament!
