Well, I think we're finally back from a little un-planned holiday hiatus. It seems quiet at Croquet Network, but I can assure you that there has been a lot of action behind the scenes. Look for some news to come out before the end of March. In the meantime, let's catch up on some headlines ...
MITCHELL WILL HEAD USCA: The new issue of Croquet News is out and the top news surfacing from that edition is that Gene Young will leave his post as USCA President after three years. Taking his place will be Johnny Mitchell, a long-time member of the management committee and the publisher and editor of the Croquet News.
GC WORLD TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: The WCF announced details for the inaugural edition of the GC World Team Championship (WTC). The event will be open to teams of four in two divisions. The first division will compete in Johannesburg, South Africa, from November 26 to December 2012. The second division will be held in Cairo, Egypt starting on December 9, 2012. WCF Members have been asked to submit an entry for the GC WTC by February 29, 2012.
BIG PAYOFF IN THE DESERT: The Marty Foroughi Desert Classic coming up January 24-28 at Mission Hills in California has annouced a $5k purse--
