It wasn't only the 95 degree weather today that was hot but the impressive play led by US players Sherif Abdelwahab and Mohammad Kamal as they improved their records to 6-0 and 5-1 respectively in block play. Kamal had solid wins over Aussie Geoffrey Reilley and England's Stephen Mulliner to wrap up his day while Abdelwahab posted wins over Richard Brooks of England and Anne Quinn of Australia.
Current 1st and 2nd place leaders in the blocks include 8 Egyptians, 4 Australians, 3 New Zealanders, 1 South African, 1 English player, and the 2 US players noted above. With 3 matches remaining for all players over the next two days, it is going to be exciting to see who will make the top 32 Knock Out! Many players are still jockeying for a top four position in their block.
