Croquet England’s International Committee has announced a two-day Golf Croquet Test Match against Team USA, set to take place August 5-6, 2025, at the Budleigh Salterton Croquet Club. The match will serve as a warm-up to the 2025 Solomon Trophy, one of the sport’s most prestigious international test rivalries, which follows immediately from August 7-12 at the same venue.
Featuring four or five players per team, depending on U.S. player availability, the contest promises a thrilling display of elite Golf Croquet at one of England’s most scenic and historic clubs. Spectators are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The two-day GC Test Match is just one stop on an action-packed international calendar for Team USA this summer. The USCA recently unveiled its roster for the 2025 Solomon Trophy. Following a 14-7 victory over Great Britain in the 2023 edition hosted in Florida, the team now sets its sights on defending the title on British soil in what promises to be a fiercely contested battle.

USA vs Ireland: The Carter Cup
Earlier in the tour, Team USA will face Ireland in a combined golf croquet and Association croquet test match, scheduled for July 28-31, 2025, at Carrickmines Croquet & Lawn Tennis Club in Dublin. Known as the Carter Cup, this fixture leads directly into the Irish Open (August 2-9) and is expected to feature a full-strength U.S. lineup in both codes of play.
