2020 Croquet News Volume 1 Now Available

The 2020 Volume 1 Digital Edition of the USCA's Croquet News is now available for viewing. This edition features a tribute to Fred Jones and a feature on Leroy Nieman's "Brush with Croquet." 2020 Golf Croquet World Teams: NWO

Based on what should probably be considered, provisional results for the 2020 WCF Golf Croquet World Team Championships, this should be the New World Order for GC World Teams. This factors the key test between Ireland and Sweden in a battle for Tier 1 survival. Croquet Scores reports a 5-4 victory for Ireland, which would knock Sweden down to Tier 2.

Burridge is New WCF President

Ian Burridge of Wales won the recent World Croquet Federation (WCF) election for the position of WCF President and will serve from January 1, 2020, through December 31, 2023. Burridge received 42 votes over 18 votes for Australia’s Mike Cohn to win the election. The WCF reported that 60 votes were cast of out 62 possible votes.

The Croquet Association (UK) in now selling a limited run of a new book titled Beyond Expert Croquet Tactics. The ambitious book has a wide-ranging focus, but at the top of the list it looks to provide updated tactical advice on Keith Wylie’s Expert Croquet Tactics which was first published in 1985.

2019 Croquet News Volume 4 Digital Edition

The 2019 Volume 4 Digital Edition of the USCA's Croquet News is now available for viewing. The print version of this edition will be mailing the first week in December.

This edition celebrates Ben Rothman's WCF World GC Championship title with event coverage and an interview with Rothman. The issue also includes a Decade Retrospective photo collection that highlights some of the best moments from 2010-2019. In addition, there are profiles on Blake Fields and the Tega Cay Croquet Club along with 2019 GC Nationals coverage.

The USCA has announced three Regional Vice Presidential positions up for re-election.

Bishop Gadsden Debuts Anderson Court and Croquet Pavilion

Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community, a leader in the senior living industry, holds a grand opening ceremony to debut the new Anderson Croquet Court and Pavilion on Friday, Nov. 8, 2019. The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Anderson Court Pavilion with remarks from Bishop Gadsden President/CEO Sarah Tipton and retired President/CEO Bill Trawick, as well as residents who were instrumental in making croquet at Bishop Gadsden a reality. There will also be a blessing of the court and pavilion by Fr. Dow Sanderson.
