The USCA is requesting player availability for the 2023 WCF Association World Croquet Championship to be held July 15-23 in London, England.
The main host venue will be the Hurlingham Club, which will be the venue for the finals, but significant parts of the championship may also be held at Dulwich Croquet Club, Ealing Croquet Club, Roehampton Club, Surbiton Croquet Club and Woking Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
The event capacity is 80 players and the anticipated entry fee for this event is £153 (~$170) per player. Full details of the event have already been published on the WCF website and a dedicated event website will be published soon.
If you wish to be eligible for a ranking place, wildcard place, or membership place please sign-up on the USCA Website.
The USCA's deadline for availability in any of the three categories is December 2, 2022. The USCA AC Selection Committee (ACSC) will then submit the names of all available players to the WCF, together with the names of any players they wish to be considered for a wildcard place. The WCF will announce on January 1, 2023, which players have been granted ranking places, based on their 12-month maximum DG on December 18, 2022, (players must have played 5 games in the previous 12 months to be eligible). The ACSC will then nominate membership places from amongst those players who have not secured a ranking or wildcard place.
The USCA has two membership places to assign. There will also be a qualifying event for at least four more places to be held at Sussex County Croquet Club on July 10-13, 2023, (open to players of any nationality). Entry for this event will open next year.
