Oxford University Rebrands Croquet Club

The croquet club at Oxford University was established in 1867 and was latterly known as the Oxford University Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club.  In 2003, the club cleaved from the tennis club and became the Oxford University Croquet Club, OUCC.

 

Today the Oxford University Croquet Club has voted, unopposed, to change its name to the Oxford University Association Croquet Club at its AGM.

2016 USCA Selection Eights Availability Deadline: July 31

The Selection Eights will be held October 27-30, 2016 at the National Croquet Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. This is an AC Selection Event — players will be selected by the Selection Committee from those who make themselves available to compete. 

The availability form is in the members area of the USCA website under Official Forms. The deadline for availability is July 31, 2016. The selections will be made on August 14, 2016.

KC to Host 2016 Midwest Regional

USCA Midwestern Regional VP Matt Griffith has announced Kansas City as the host city for the 2016 USCA Midwest Regionals to be played as golf croquet singles and Waterford doubles. The event will be held June 24-26, 2016 at Griffith's Kactus Creek Croquet Club and The National Golf Club of Kansas City in Parkville, Missouri (northern part of the Kansas City metro).

Buffalo Croquet Begins With a Bang

BUFFALO, NY – This summer in Delaware Park in Buffalo, New York, for three straight days, this cute and clever game of croquet will be played by some of the country’s top-ranked players. The Buffalo Croquet Club Inaugural 6-Wicket Invitational will host famous players like Johnny Osborn, John Young III, Anne Frost Robinson and Douglas Moore. These include members of the United States Croquet Association (USCA) Hall of Fame, and presidents from the croquet clubs of Bermuda, Rochester and New York City.

WCF Golf Croquet WTC: Day Five

By Eric Sawyer | Yesterday, our lads beat the South African team pretty easily to conclude the Plate pool play.  After factoring in our prior win over Sweden in the A block, our team finished 3-0 to secure the #1 seed in the Plate. We will play Sweden, the #2 seed in the Plate, in a two-day test beginning tomorrow.
