Looking at the current USCA Grand Prix standings, it appears as though Sherif Abdelwahab is on his way to claiming the 2016 race. The standings below were pulled from the USCA website on December 18, 2016, and show that Abdelwahab is just ahead of Stuart Lawrence. From our last glance at the end of August, the positions are exactly switched.
At this point, it's hard to see anything on the US schedule that could significantly affect the race. If it holds up Abdelwahab will claim the USCA Player of the Year Award in March.
A player has indicated to me that based on the comparison to the August snapshot, that it is unlikely that the Grand Prix has been updated. I am sending a note to the USCA, but keep that in consideration when viewing this December snapshot.
