Paul Miller on his way to a national titlePaul Miller defeated Matt Griffith 24-15 to claim the 2014 USCA Nine Wicket Singles National Championship. Miller beat former champ George Cochran 27-20 in the semifinals while Griffith took down Doug Moore 32-26 to advance.

Morning Coffee: USCA Names 2015 GCWC Players
Sherif Abdelwahab
The USCA has announced Sherif Abdelwahab, Stephen Morgan, Matt Griffith and Carl Uhlman as selections for the 2015 WCF World Golf Croquet Championship to be held February 7-15, 2015 in Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. Abdelwahab, earned a ranking position in the event, while Morgan was awarded one of the wildcard positions.
USCA Expands to a Sixth Eight
After initially launching as a 40-player event, Danny Huneycutt announced yesterday that the USCA's Selection Eights event will add a sixth eight and include 48 players. The current list of players and waiting list follows. Each group is in order by the Selection Committee ranking. If any players opt out, players will be promoted to the next group by rank.

TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- The 2014 USCA Midwest Regionals rolled out the balls at 8:00 a.m. this morning. In championship flight, it was two games of doubles and two games of singles for day one. Unfortunately, the scoresheets left the courts before I could take photos, so I will try to do better on that tomorrow.

The Under-21 Golf Croquet World Championship will be held at the United Croquet Club, Christchurch, New Zealand from February 1-5, 2015.
The Golf Croquet World Championship will be held at Mount Maunganui Croquet Club and other clubs in Bay of Plenty, New Zealand from February 7-15, 2015. A Qualifying Tournament will be held from 3-5 February 3-5, 2015 at Morrinsville Croquet Club, New Zealand.

WCF Announces 2014 Over-50 GC Players
Thirty-five players have been awarded places in the 2014 Over-50 Golf Croquet World Championship to be held in October. The event capacity has been set at 40, so five additional spots are available for member countries to request additional allocations.

The Under-21 GCWC will be held at the United Croquet Club in Christchurch, New Zealand, February 1-5, 2015.
